JOY COMES IN THE MORNING
“I just can’t believe that it happened! I knew it was coming but it is so hard and it hurts so much!”
I see the Father step close behind you. He reaches and touches your shoulder. First, with one hand then the other hand touches your other shoulder. He holds you as your shoulder shake from the sobs. He knows all that is in your heart. Then, He turns you to face Him. As you turn to Him, the Holy Spirit takes a beautiful crystal bottle and catches your tears as they fall, every precious drop. Jesus walks close to you. He puts one hand on your heart and one hand on your head. He speaks to the storm that is raging in your heart and mind. “Peace be still! Peace be still! Peace, peace! I know, I know! I care, I care!
Know that when the storm of emotion catches you off guard and the tide of memories threaten to overwhelm you – remember – “I will never leave you. I will never forsake you. I went away so the comforter could come! Weeping may endure for a night but joy comes in the morning.” |
