KEY WITH STEPS

Pam spoke over me that she could see me painting with large sweeping strokes, using lots of color. During the "Come and See Gathering" I decided to give it a try.

I laid in the background with large sweeping strokes of shades of red, then stood at the canvas waiting, "What next?" A silver key with three circles for the bow (Father, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit). The shank was next then the key bit. It had two parts. I thought if I moved the detailing into the shank a bit they resembled steps or stairs. I added a narrow doorway at the threshold and then a few more leading into the light. A man standing near asked if I knew there were 7 steps to the threshold. I had not counted. Red ans silver are the colors of redemption. 7 is the number of completion. I am going to let you take it from here.
