In this painting the snake is a white python. White because satan comes as an angel of light. If he came to us ugly and twisted as he actually is we would not be so easily deceived. The python kills its prey by constricting and squeezing the life out of its victim. The cause of death is suffocation. This is also what Jesus experienced on the cross. The eyes are green for jealousy, a suffocating, killing attitude. There is no life in these eyes. The dancer is taking the authority given by Jesus, crushing the head of the snake. The pink ribbon of praise is choking the life out of the enemy. The dancer does not defeat the enemy alone but along with the Lion of Judah (praise). The praise has caused the strangling, suffocating hold of the enemy to be loosed. The tail is lifeless. Satan is under your feet.
Romans 16:20 The God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet. The grace of our Lord Jesus be with you. And Luke 10:19 I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you.
